I am very impressed with the quality, both technically and in terms of content, of the Discipleship Explored DVDs. Barry Cooper's eight short talks are clear and engaging. They get straight to the heart of the challenges that the follower of Christ needs to face. The DVD would be a brilliant alternative to a live speaker, where none is available. Participants sometimes feel better able to challenge what they hear from a TV screen than the words of someone who is present and so enter into a more meaningful discussion. The programmes could also be used to enable course members to catch up on a week they had missed. Because they last only about 10 minutes each, they would fit well into a course of shorter sessions such as lunchtimes.
